a great lady

I started this post almost two weeks ago and as usual I dont have time to sit here and blog one so I am finishing this one up and sending it..nothing like old news...

End of another long day...worked mostly inside the house..still have a lot to do...arranging summer clothes and storing the winter ones away...never ending job around here...
It rained most of the day..I hobbled outside before the rain started and spread bug granules all around the house trying to fend some of them off before they all decided they wanted to reside in the house with us....I hate bugs...any kind....any size..
Cleaning on the living room while I am watching the Golden Girls.I'm about ready to hit the sack...
Back to the Golden Girls..I think it is one of ,if not the best comedy shows on tv...Beau Arthur was one of the greatest gals to watch,,,,witty and charming...I could relate to the show....because it reminds me of me and my two sisters growing up...Of course Dorothy was none other then the sister in La...right down to the bone.Rose was a carbon copy of the oldest sister so that leaves me being Blanche,,,,Sometimes I can even relate to the mother being our mother...I loved the show.I couldn't believe that Bea Arthur died...She was one of my all time favorites especially in the Golden Girls....I will continue to watch the show and laugh all the way thru at how much they are similar to us....ok.. I will have to jump right back off here ..lots to do while the sun is shining..we have had more rain then sun in the last week or so...later.

MUDDIN IN THE COUNTRY

A DAY OF FUN WITH GETTING COOLED OFF UNDER THE HOSE

THIS PAST WEEKEND WAS ABOUT THE HOTTEST WEEK-END WE HAVE HAD SO FAR..THE KIDS WERE ROASTING.WE REMOVED THE COVER FROM OUR POOL,NOW TO ADD WATER AND CHEMICALS...AS THE DAY PROGRESSED BY MIDDAY THE LITTLE ONES WERE WANTING TO SET UP A SPRINKLER TO COOL OFF SO THAT IS JUST WHAT WE DID....THEY HAD THE PERFECT PLACE PICKED OUT..HANG THE HOSE FROM THE SWING SET.

ALAS THE HOSE IS HUNG ,,,THE WATER IS RUNNING AND ITS READY SET GO..THEY DID SPEND THE BIGGER PART OF THE DAY UNDER THE HOSE TIL AROUND 4 THEN SOMEONE MENTIONED FISHING SO THEY ALL GOT CHANGED AND HEADED TO THE COUNTRY POND.

NOW,,I KNOW ITS NO BIG DEAL TO BE UNDER A WATER HOSE BUT YOU WOULD HAVE TO KNOW MY GR-BABIES..THEY DONT LIKE BUGS,DUST ,DIRT OR GETTING DIRTY IN ANY SHAPE WAY OR FORM..TYPICAL LITTLE GIRLS...ON THE OTHER HAND THE 7 YEAR OLD THAT STAYS HERE MOST OF THE TIME MUST HAVE A MAGNET IN HIS POCKET BECAUSE WATER AND MUD DRAWS HIM.TO FIND HIM ALL I HAVE TO DO IS SEE IF THERES A MUDHOLE OR WATER ANYWHERE CLOSE..SURE ENOUGH ,,THERE HE IS,,

WELL..IT STARTED WITH THE 3 YR OLD AND THE BOY PLAYING UNDER THE WATER HOSE...YOU CAN TALK A THREE YEAR OLD INTO ANYTHING,,,THE OLDER GIRL DECIDED SHE DIDNT WANT TO GET WET OR DIRTY.NEXT THING HAPPENS THE LITTLE ONE IS HOT ,WET, AND SLEEPY AND THEN GETS WATER IN HER EYES SO SHES HAD ENOUGH OF WATER...MEANWHILE THE BOY IS STILL MUDDING AND THE OLDER GR-GIRL DECIDED SHE WANTS SOME OLD SHORTS AND TEE SO SHE CAN MAYBE TRY IT....

WELL..FIRST OF ALL SHE DIDNT LIKE THE DRY DIRT THAT GOT INTO HER FLIPFLOP....SHE WAS HESITANT ABOUT GETTING WET..FINALLY DID AND THEY HAD A BLAST.....NOW....THIS IS THE FIRST TIME EVER I HAVE EVER SEEN ANY AMOUNT OF DIRT ON THIS GIRL...SHES ALL GIRL WHEN IT COMES TO PRIM AND PROPER.WONT EVER FIND ANY DIRT ON THIS GIRL SO IT STARTED OUT THEY WERE CARRYING WATER AND MAKING A MIXTURE THAT THEY CALLED STEW...WITH ANYTHING DRY THEY COULD FIND THAT WOULD FLOAT IN THEIR STEW POT WHICH INCLUDED STICKS,FLOWERS,BALLS,BOATS, HARDHATS,,ANYTHING THAT WOULD FLOAT.OK..STEWMAKIING WAS GETTING OLD SO ITS BACK TO THE WATER HOSE...BY THIS TIME THERE IS A HUGE MUDDY MESS ON THE GROUND,,,THE BOY THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT..THE GIRL DIDNT.AHH...BOYS HAVING TOO MUCH FUN FOR THE OLDER GIRL TO STAND BACK AND WATCH...NO HOLDING BACK NOW.

SO MUCH FOR A HOT SUMMER DAY....ITS AN OHIO VERSION OF MUDDIN IN THE COUNTRY..

NOW FOR THE CLEANUP...THE OLDER GIRL HAD TO HAVE A BATH...COMPLETE WITH HAIR WASHED ..SHE HAD GOBS OF MUD IN HER HAIR.MY GIRL THAT DOESNT LIKE TO GET DIRTY..

HER DAD EVEN TOOK A PIC OF HER WITH HIS CAMERA..I THINK HE WAS RATHER SHOCKED AT SEEING HER GET DIRTY..AS SOON AS SHE HAD ENOUGH OF HAVING MUD ON HER ,SHE HAD TO BE CLEANED UP AND IT HAD TO BE RIGHT NOW....SO RUB A DUB DUB WE WERE OFF TO THE TUB...

ALL IN ALL IT WAS A FUN DAY SUNDAY.......I THINK IT WILL BE MUCH BETTER WHEN THE POOL IS OPENED AND THEY CAN GO SWIMMING INSTEAD OF MUDDING.....ANOTHER DAY,,ANOTHER POST.

SILENT NIGHT

I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE PAST WEEK WENT BUT ITS GONE...I STAYED BUSY BUT AT THIS POINT I CANT REMEMBER THE REASON WHY..OH ,,YEAH....THE LITTLE ONE HAD A BALL GAME EVERY NIGHT...RAINED HIM OUT ON TUES AND WED BUT THEY RESCHEDULED THEM FOR FRI AND SUN...SO EVERY DAY THEY HAD A BALL GAME...I DID'NT TAKE HIM SUNDAY.THE GRAND-GIRLS WERE DOWN AND IT WAS IN THE 80'S AND THE GAME WAS AT MIDDAY...BUT THE LITTLE ONES PLAYED OUT UNDER A SPRINKLER ALL DAY....HERE IT IS TUESDAY...THE TEMP'S HAVE DROPPED OUT OF THE HIGH 8O'S TO THE LOW SEVENTY'S...THAT'S MY KIND OF WEATHER ALTHOUGH THE HIGH 60'S ARE BY FAR THE BEST....I FINALLY HAD TO TURN THE AIR ON SUNDAY NIGHT...I NEVER USUALLY TURN IT ON TIL JUNE OR SO BUT THIS HOT SPELL THAT WENT THRU WAS A SCORCHER.
I ACTUALLY AM SITTING HERE BASKING IN THE QUIETNESS OF THE HOUSE...NO LITTLE ONES TO FULL AROUND WITH..I SENT THE LITTLE ONE TO HIS MOMS FOR A FEW DAYS SO I COULD HAVE SOME R AND R..I FORGOT WHAT A QUIET HOUSE WAS LIKE.
AND NOT HAVING TO JUMP UP AND WAIT ON A LITTLE ONE ALL THE TIME ,,I SURE DO MISS HIM BUT I KNOW HE'LL BE BACK IN A FEW DAYS AND MY PEACE AND QUIET WILL BE GONE...

babe ruth

It's the end of another week or maybe Sunday is the beginning of the week, whichever its here..A full Sunday with the two gr-babies here,,

was suppose to rain but it held off til after the girls left..thank goodness

so we were able to play out all afternoon...and play we did...I sometimes wonder where they get all their energy...I'm just envious....trying to hobble around and keep up with a three year old and two sevens was hard for this ol gal to do....So after we played with boats in the pool and played video games on the computer and play station we ventured outside again and got into playing ball..The oldest gr-girl stayed in the house and played videos ,,the other two ventured outside for their version of a game of ball

I ran,,,rather hobbled in the house and got my camera knowing i might be able to get a few good pics or a video....sure enough...

Here's the little one batting..Her dad was trying to show her how,but every time she got back up to bat she couldn't remember that she was

right handed so we had to turn her around again..Now every time she managed to hit the ball,,she would run to the big tree and stand for a picture or rather a pose,,,As soon as I said "Let grand-ma take a picture -she would go into a southern bell pose.'Now as long as she wanted me to take a posy picture she was fine but when she was thru posing,,that was it for the pics,,,so much for taking pics....

The man in the house took the little boy fishing this morning...caught a 40 or 50 lb. catfish over in the Ohio river,,,,and he was scared to death of it,if i can get the pic off the cell phone i will add it on another post...

Its the season for ball..heres the boy in his outfit for his first real league game......The won by 4 runs,,

ok. I'm a little late on this post ..did it last night but I didn't get a chance to edit it.......just finished it....so will catch you next post...

plans

busy one here in coolville.....hope everyone elses day is going as PLANNED especially when you have waited on a special date and it happens...we had plans here and they were made a month ago and gosh by darn they happened....now if you had plans from a month or two ago and they didnt happen...then shame shame....who do YOU blame. Have fun with your planned day,,days..and week ahead..I am...are YOU?
If not,,I guess everyone should have a plan b..........enough said,,,,

nothing ventured nothing gained

another day gone by in the hundred minus 88 hundred acre woods......was another ho hum pooh day....the litte one finally cut his teeth and is in a little better mood..so inbetween not getting anything done today we laughed and played ...housework will definitely be here tomorrow...for my sis in la..(((((.end of the day and I never did get my dishes done.)))))..I had a few left then supper dishes were added..by that time it was warm outside so I went outside,,fed the animals and stayed on the outside..then it was baby time again....



took a few pics of the boys...Petey has a spot above his lip that he keeps picking at so it showed up...if i can download this video...Petey is reading a story to the baby ...watch the baby.......video is not the best but it is cute....I couldn't get at the right angle to video them I was shadowing at times...try again ..next time...



The rain has finally ended ..at least til Sunday...next dose is suppose to hit..can't wait.The man in the house is on a diet ..well rather watching what he eats..or is cutting back..whichever, it seems to work...only thing is I can't get in a diet frame of mind so I'm going up ..he's coming down...sooner or later we are going to meet in the middle.......This man has faults..don't we all... and I might rag about him once in a while but hes a good guy...and good guys with decent morals are hard to find these days...I'm sure he keeps things from me as I do him but in most relationships it tends to be that way..little things that doesnt hurt either of you but its your own little secrets...He is not a fake nice....Oh how I hate fake nicers........you know those people that have all their ducks in a row or rather try to appear that way for the sake of a certain person....I've seen them..was around one and continue to see them...people that changed their whole way of thinking and doing to impress someone in their midst...I can see giving up one vice and broadening your horizons but to me being an imposter shows up ,,,maybe that person doesnt think so but when other people notice the newly acquired ways their fake nice ways are coming out...shame ..shame..and to make them look even better they have to belittle everyone else that they choose to do so..I'm telling you,,you can't trust anyone anymore....and sometimes family is the worst....oh well..it is what it is..my guy might not be as socialable,or have that acquired sense of humor that I have, and we might be as different as night and day but he's an honest ,hardworking,unselfish,and straight guy.....I could have not settled for him..It was my choosing I guess...but decent guys are hard to find these days....well..now how did I end up on this subject..mind wandering again...

well. this video is still uploading..I tried to upload one a time before and I thought something was wrong so I cancelled it.....this one has been going for at least 20 minutes or more...I am going to venture in the kitchen and get a bottle ready for the baby just in case there is a wake-up call before morning...I will check post when I return...

I WENT OUTSIDE AND FED THE ANIMALS AND DECIDED TO TAKE INVENTORY OF WHAT I HAD LEFT THAT THE TEN PULLY GRABBY LITTLE THINGS OVERLOOKED.....AND HERES WHAT I FOUND..ONE RED TULIP THAT HASNT COME OUT YET.....THANK GOODNESS..SHE DIDNT START ON THE BUSHES AND TREES.........MY TULIP TREE STILL HAS THEIR BLOOM BUT I THINK THEY GOT FROST BIT FROM THE LOW TEMPS WE HAD THE OTHER NIGHT...SO THEY ARE ON THEIR WAY OUT...

I'M SO GLAD ITS NOT RAINING TODAY...THE OL SAYING IS IF IT RAINS ON EASTER IT WILL RAIN THE NEXT SIX SUNDAYS IN A ROW..AND I HAVE COUNTED THE SUNDAYS WHEN IT HAS IN THE PAST AND IT SEEMS LIKE IT DOES...EVEN A SMALL SHOWER OR SOMETIMES IT RAINS WHEN THE SUN SHINES AND THAT SAYING GOES THAT IT WILL RAIN THE SAME TIME TOMORROW ...WHERE DID THESE SAYINGS COME FROM AND HOW DID I GET AWAY FROM MY OUTSIDE INVENTORY....

THE TREES ARE LOSING THEIR BLOOM ..TURNING FROM THE SNOWY WHITE TO GREEN....THE LILAC BUSHES ARE TRYING TO BLOOM AND SOON I WILL BE ABLE TO SMELL THE SWEET AROMA OF LILAC IN THE AIR...AND THE BEST TREES I LIKE ON EASTER ARE THESE.....THE EASTER TREES..I KNOW IT'S A SURE SIGN THAT THE EASTER BUNNY IS GOING TO COME WHEN I SEE THESE TREES....OK..GUYS..GOT TO GO FINISH MY DINNER.....HAPPY EASTER...MANY MORE AND I WILL CATCH YOU LATER........

ONCE UPON A TIME

I KNEW SPRING WAS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER....I COULD TELL BY THE FEW SPARSLEY BRIGHT YELLOW AND RED LILIES AND TULIPS I HAD POPPING UP AROUND MY HOUSE..NOW THE GROUND IS NOTHING BUT RED CLAY WHERE I LIVE UNDER ALL THE GRASS SO NEEDLESS TO SAY IF I GET ANYTHING TO LIVE AFTER I PLANT IT,,I CONSIDER MYSELF DOING GOOD ALTHOUGH THE GRASS AND WEEDS CAN FIND A WAY TO GROW...SO WHEN MY MEASLY PUNY AND SCRAWNY LITTLE FLOWERS DO COME UP I TRY TO SALVAGE THEM AS LONG AS I CAN BEFORE THEY DISAPPEAR...THE GRASS WAS STARTING A SLOW TURN FROM BROWN TO A BRIGHT BRIGHT GREEN...THE BIRDS WERE A CHIRPING AND THE SPRING PEEPERS COULD BE HEARD IN THE QUIET OF THE COUNTRY SIDE...THE TREES LINING BOTH SIDES OF THE DRIVEWAY WERE FULL OF BLOOM WITH THE ARRIVAL OF SPRING COMING..THE ROBINS WERE TRYING TO BEAT THE SPARROWS UP FOR TRYING TO KEEP THEM OUT OF THEIR BIRDHOUSE...YES ..SPRING IS IN THE ARE OR RATHER WAS...AND I KNEW IT ONCE UPON A TIME.

TODAY IS A SO FAR LIGHT RAINY DAY...SUPPOSE TO BE COMING DOWN IN BUCKETS BUT SO FAR WE HAVE'NT GOTTEN THAT YET...IT WAS SUNNY AND PRETTY UP TO ABOUT AN HOUR AGO.....JUST IN TIME FOR A WET EASTER.....WELL THAT WAS YESTERDAY ..GOOD FRIDAY..TODAY IS GOOD SATURDAY....THE WIND IS HOWLING..IT ENDED UP RAINING ALMOST ALL NITE LONG...THE GROUND IS SATURATED TODAY...THE SUN IS SHINING BRIGHT BUT IS A BIT ON THE CHILLY SIDE WITH THE WIND.....I HURRIED OUT AND FED THE ANIMALS AND WANTED TO POST THIS BEFORE IT SETS HERE ANOTHER 3 DAYS...IT HAS BEEN A BUSY MORNING PHONE WISE...I HAVE TALKED TO 4 OUT OF 7 SIBLINGS ALREADY THIS MORNING..NOT BAD FOR FAMILY CONTACT....ANYWAYS....BACK TO THE PRESENT...

ONCE UPON A TIME I HAD PRETTY FLOWERS..NOT TOO MANY....BUT I DID HAVE SOME HERE IN THE 100-12 ACRE WOODS...THEN THEY STRUCK....TEN ROUND LITTLE PULLY PICKY THINGS THAT SNATCHED MY FLOWERS RIGHT OFF THEIR STEMS....ONLY A FEW SURVIVED BECAUSE THEY WERE ABLE TO ESCAPE THEIR WANDERING LITTLE EYES......SO NOW MY FLOWERS ARE ALL GONE EXCEPT I SAW A FEW MORE THAT BLOOMED SINCE THE OTHERS HAVE DISAPPEARED...SAFE TIL THOSE TEN LITTLE PULLY PICKY THINGS SHOW UP AGAIN.........THEIR WAS A PLUS SIDE TO THIS......

THE PICKY PULLY THING WAS A PRETTIER SITE.

AND HERE SHE ISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

..SO NOW MY FLOWERS ARE GONE.LONG BEFORE THEY SHOULD HAVE..BUT I ENJOYED THEM AFTER THEY WERE SCARFED UP BECAUSE AS YOU CAN SEE THEY MADE A PRETTY PICTURE.....ESPECIALLY WHEN THE TEN LITTLE PULLY PICKY THINGS THAT SNATCHED MY FLOWERS UP WERE ATTACHED TO THIS....SHE WAS SO EXCITED WHEN SHE CAME RUNNING UP ON THE PORCH HOLLERING ..GRANDMA...I PICKED YOU SOME FLOWERS...WELL ,,,,TRYING NOT TO SNIFFLE ,,I SAID ..."WELL...HOW PRETTY AND THANKED HER...."SHE WAS SO PROUD TO BRING ME THOSE FLOWERS AND WHAT THE HECK THEY WOULD SOON BE DYING OFF ANYWAYS..AND THEN SHE ADDED THEM TO MY AND HER HAIR WHICH LASTED A WEE BIT LONGER......

HEY,,,I AM BACK...AND ITS LATE ..DONT HAVE TIME TO POST BUT ACTUALLY I COULD BE GONE A MONTH AND STILL NOT HAVE ANY EXCITING NEWS ..MY MODEM WENT OUT ON ME AND I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL MY INTERNET PROVIDER SENT ME A NEW ONE AFTER IT TOOK NEARLY A WEEK FOR DELL AND WINDSTREAM(MY PROVIDER) TO FIGURE OUT WHICH ONE WAS GIVING ME THE TROUBLE ..COMPUTER OR INTERNET PROVIDER....WELL...DELL WON OUT...NOTHING WRONG WITH MY PUTER..JUST THE MODEM...SO I WILL POST SOME PICS AND A BETTER POST IN A FEW DAYS....TOMORROW IS A TRIP ABOUT 100 MILES DOWN THE ROAD FOR MY LEG APPT...SO I WILL TRY AND GET BACK ON HERE BY THE WEEKEND....YOU ALL MAY HAVE NOT MISSED MY BLOGS BUT I SURE MISSED READING THE ONES I FOLLOW...........BYEEEEEEEEE
