a not so exciting time

well,,,the trip to town wasn't as bad as i expected...didn't have any sudden panic attacks on the road as i would have been if i were driving..My chauffeur is a remarkable driver..nothing seems to stress him out when it comes to the weather ..he just allows for the instincts you have to have for the ice,snow ,or whatever condition the road is in at the time we are on it..cautiously watching more closely for other drivers who tend to ignore how bad the road conditions are and continuously keep you (the driver) behind the wheel alert...
We live on a township road in our state which is considered a secondary road and that is how the state determines which ones get grated,salted or messed with first..You got it...Ours was not touched this morning..only tire tracks from a few stragglers that were brave enough to be out in the morning hours especially after schools were closed for the 4th day this week..Usually when there is no school..you don't see a grater..Why grade or salt if the kids don't have to go to school...Once we reached the county road, it had been salted so the going was a little easier..Of course it pays to have a Dodge Ram diesel 4 wheel drive in this state and this weather..The one thing that I'm trying to talk the man in the house into doing is to put me a step on the passenger side to step up on...An egg crate makes an excellent step ..one step up .next step you're in. The only thing is I haven't figured out how to attach the egg crate to the truck,,A side step is being considered to put on my side...it would be a big minus on the griping of trying to get into it..having a knee replacement doesn't help..of course..
After doctors visits..a meal in town and stopping to pick up groceries at the local Walmart ,,which by now was after 4p.m...I was ready to head home..my energy level is lower now then what it ever was...and the weather doesn't help any...I hate the bitter cold..I had on a wool cape coat which is a lifesaver to me ...like a blanket wrapped around you...the trip home was in the time frame of it starting to snow ,,,the roads were refreezing and i was just wanting to get back in my warmer then outside house..It was a nasty day to be out..barely 20 degrees for a high and the wind chill made it seem even colder..I was amazed at how little snow was on the four lane highway once we got to it..the road crews are trying to keep it cleared off for the next round of snow...whoo hoo....cant wait..We proceeded on our way back home and sad to say our little township road still hadn't had a plow..scraper or anything done to it.....but alas we are home.......that big red diesel ..we'll keep her,him for awhile longer,especially on days like this.................I'm safely home..my dreaded trip out was more bearable then i thought it would be...if it only were'nt so cold..yuk

I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN THE HOUSE THIS LONG FOR A LONG TIME.GUESS I BETTER GET USED TO IT AT THE RATE IT IS SNOWING.

I HAVEN'T BEEN OUT OF THE ROAD SINCE LAST YEAR..DEC 31-09.WHAT A WAY TO START THE NEW YEAR...SNOWED IN....

I LIKE SNOW BUT NOT THIS MUCH AT ONE TIME..BUT THEN AGAIN ..WHERE HAVE I GOT TO GO THAT'S SO IMPORTANT FOR ME TO BE OUT ON THE SLICK ROADS....

I HOPE MY POOR ANIMALS STAY WARM WHEN THE WIND CHILL DROPS TONIGHT.THE LAMB HAS A FRESH BED OF STRAW..THE TWO LITTLE PIGS HAVE BEEN BUNKING TOGETHER..THE LAB AND ST.BERNARD ARE SHARING AND THE CAT AND THE JACK RUSSELL HAVE BEEN SHARING THEIR BOX.

I HOPE I NEVER HAVE TO HAVE ANOTHER KNEE REPLACEMENT..TALK ABOUT A PAIN IN THE BUTT ..WELL...THIS IS IT...HINDERS ME FROM WHAT I WANT TO DO..

I HAVE NEVER LOST THIS MUCH WEIGHT IN 3 MONTHS IN MY LIFE..THE MORE I EAT..THE MORE I LOSE...GUESS I BETTER NOT COMPLAIN TIL I START PUTTING IT BACK ON.

I RANG IN THE NEW YEAR SITTING HERE..THEN WAS SICK THE NEXT TWO DAYS.GO FIGURE...MUST HAVE CELEBRATED TOO MUCH AT HOME..

I HOPE HOW SOON THE SPRING THAW GETS HERE...LAUGH.LAUGH.I CANT SEEM TO GET ANYTHING DONE..WHO WANTS TO CLEAN HOUSE ON DARK DEPRESSING DAYS..RATHER LAY AROUND..

I WONDER IF I HAVE TO FORFEIT MY DR. APPT. TOMORROW DUE TO THE SNOW..AS IT LOOKS THAT WAY NOW..YES I BELIEVE SO...MAYBE NOT ..IF THAT BIG DODGE RAM DIESEL HEADS THAT WAY..

I DO BELIEVE THAT I GOTTA GET TO A STORE OR IF WE GET MORE SNOW WE MAY RUN OUT OF FOOD TO CONSUME..

I WISH I HAD THAT NERVE I HAD ABOUT FIVE YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS STILL WORKING AND WOULD DRIVE IN ANY KIND OF WEATHER ...EVERY DAY AT THAT..LOST IT.

I'M GLAD PT IS OVER WITH ON MY KNEE..BY THE LOOKS OF THE WEATHER I WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE INTO TOWN T0 GET THERE ANYWAYS..

I'M CRAVING A WENDY'S OR BURGER KING DOUBLE DECKER..LIKE I CAN DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AT THE RATE THE SNOW IS FALLING..

I LIKE WHITE ,,,BUT THERE IS A LITTLE TOO MUCH WHITE AROUND ME NOW..I DID LIKE THE WHITE WEDDING AND THE NEW ADDITION TO THE FAMILY..

I CANT BELEIVE THAT MY OLDEST GR-BABY WILL SOON BE 8,,,WHERE HAVE THE YEARS GONE..

I STILL HAVE A TOOTH TO BE PULLED...BUT ITS A DEAD TOOTH SO IT DOESNT SEEM TO BOTHER ME ENOUGH TO HAVE TO HAVE IT DONE...NO PAIN TENDS TO MAKE ME FORGET ABOUT IT.

I CAN'T BELEIVE THAT CHRISTMAS HAS COME AND GONE ALTHOUGH I AM WORE OUT..GOT THAT WAY AFTER..THANK GOODNESS.

I SAID AFTER CHRISTMAS THAT I WAS GOING TO SLOW DOWN AND REST..I THINK I SLOWED DOWN SO MUCH I'M IN REVERSE AND ALL I WANT TO DO IS REST.

I HEARD FROM MY OTHER KNEE REPLACMENT FRIEND THAT AT HER THREE MONTH APPT...THE DR..TOLD HER ,,PAIN EASES UP A LOT AFTER 3 AND A HALF MONTHS BUT COULD STILL SEE SOME WITHIN A 9 MONTH OR A YEAR PERIOD..I SAY WOWWWWWWW..THATS JUST GREAT..

I CANT SEEM TO GET IN BED AT THE SAME TIME EVERY NIGHT NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY....I TAKE PILLS..CHECK BLOOD PRESSURE AND BY THAT TIME IM AWAKE AGAIN..

I WANT TO GO SOUTH HERE AS SOON AS THE WEATHER BREAKS..THE SOUTH AT THIS POINT DOESNT LOOK AS SUNNY AS WHAT I WOULD LIKE IT TO BE..SO WHY GO NOW.

I CANT BELEIVE HOW MANY THINGS I HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH SINCE THIS KNEE REPLACEMENT..NEVER ENDS.NOT THE KNEE ITSELF..OTHER THINGS FLAIRED UP.

I AM GOING TO POST THIS BORING I BLOG AND DO A FEW THINGS BEFORE I GO TO BED.I TOLD MY AUNT I WOULD CALL HER SOMETIME THIS WEEK AND STILL HAVENT DONE THAT YET...
